The Place
The Falkland Islands?.....you know about the Falkland Islands, they’re a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic that Argentina tried to take by force in 1982...which earned them a thorough whipping by the British Task force sent to re-claim the Islands.
Enough with the politics, the Falklands are a treeless, craggy wilderness with a population density that is measured in km² per person rather than people per km². We located squarely in the furious fifties so are battered by the huge weather systems of the Southern Ocean. In short it’s not the place to live if you’re the thin-blooded urban type. Sound’s grim eh? Well it is...but the air is clean, the sun shines bright and you can’t step outside your door without tripping over the wildlife.
