The Penguins
It’s one of those stereotypes, Falklands = lots of penguins. Well to be fair there are a lot of penguins. We had one take up residence under our house once when it came ashore to moult. Our dawn chorus in the summer is the continuous braying of Jackass penguins, punctuated by the odd roar of a bull sealion....did I mention that there’s a lot of sealions too?...
In fact there’s a lot of wildlife altogether, penguins, seabirds, seals, dolphins, whales...other sorts of birds....more birds, you get the picture.
The wildlife is also very tame, kind of. Lets’ put it this way, if you get mugged in the Falklands it’ll probably be a gang of Johnny Rooks that get you rather than a gang of chavs.
